Introduction to Lifting Supervisor Training

The Lifting Supervisor course provides participants with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to supervise and coordinate lifting operations safely and effectively. This course is targeted at personnel responsible for supervising lifting activities at construction sites, factories, shipyards, and other industrial environments.

After attending the course, participants will be able to manage lifting tasks confidently while minimizing failures and risks during operations.

Course Objective

The Lifting Supervisor course trains individuals to supervise and coordinate lifting operations in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and apply legal requirements related to lifting operations.
  • Identify and use various types of lifting equipment.
  • Implement safe lifting procedures and develop effective lifting plans.
  • Supervise and coordinate lifting activities, including rigging and signaling.
  • Recognize and mitigate risks associated with lifting operations.
  • Explain and apply load securing and transportation safety measures.
  • Coordinate confined space entry procedures when relevant to lifting tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with the lifting team during the operation.

Entry Requirement

  • Malaysian Citizen
  • 21 years old and above
  • Able to read and write in BM or English
  • In good physical condition
  • Hold a rigger certificate or have experience in lifting works for at least 3 years

The duration of this course is 2 days.

Certification

Certification of Attendance will be issued to all participants upon course completion.

Methodology

A combination of lectures, practicals, and group discussions.

English and/or Bahasa Malaysia. The training can be executed in a dual language option.
